How we chose — and why the list leaves the region
A property qualifies only when a licensed casino is part of, attached to, or operated in conjunction with the hotel. Hotels that merely sit near an unrelated casino do not qualify — even if the walk is short and the marketing claims otherwise.

Check Teesside and North Yorkshire for currently trading hotels that pass the test — including historical casino-hotel sites that may no longer qualify.
Widen honestly
If the region is empty, document nearest verified combinations and label journey context from the North East.
Order without pay
Sort by integration strength, then facilities breadth. No paid placement, no “sponsored“ slots.
Eligibility we apply
Currently open and trading. Casino genuinely integrated with the hotel or the same operated complex. Facts taken first from official sites, then the Gambling Commission register and reputable references. British English; no invented prices, awards or testimonials.
Automatic exclusions
Closed or unfinished schemes. Standalone casinos without hotel rooms. Adult gaming centres and bingo clubs. Hotels whose only link to gaming is a short walk to someone else’s floor.
What we found in Teesside and North Yorkshire
We found standalone casinos and adult gaming centres, but no currently operating casino hotel that met the test. Grosvenor Casino Stockton on Chandlers Wharf and Opera House Casino in Scarborough are licensed casinos — they are not hotels. Middlesbrough’s former Dragonara / Thistle arrangement on Fry Street is historical; the hotel now trades without a casino. A large casino and hotel scheme once discussed for Gurney House was never completed as a trading property.
That empty result is the reason the homepage leads with ”0” rather than a forced local shortlist.

Ordering the widened list
The four widened entries are ordered by integration of casino with hotel, then by breadth of facilities. Full resort integration ranks above a casino inside a single hotel building; both rank above a shared campus; adjoining lobby access ranks last among the qualifiers. The order is editorial. No venue paid for inclusion or position.
